ABSTRACT
This work comprehensively investigates the production and characterization of an innovative nanocomposite material aluminum matrix reinforced with Al2O3 nanoparticles. The powder metallurgy route was used to produce nanocomposite, subsequent microstructural mechanical characterizations were conducted evaluate its performance. nanoparticles metal powders dispersed mixed using ultrasonication, followed by cold pressing sintering. results indicated that dispersion isopropanol made it possible obtain nanocomposites efficiently through a high density 88% increase in hardness compared Al matrix. process led densification if volume fraction reinforcement did not exceed 1.0 wt.% Al2O3. plays essential role microstructure properties composite because as increases values above wt.%, becomes more difficult disperse which less promising results. addition significantly affects matrix’s microstructure, influences properties. However, this new approach is proving effective producing
