ABSTRACT
This study proposes a method to control the pore-forming process by performing preliminary mechanical activation of initial rice husk before carbonization. Preliminary leads loosening intercellular substance and its partial depolymerization, thereby increasing availability internal structure for pore formation during carbonization chemical activation. Using described above, nanoporous carbon was obtained with Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET)-calculated specific surface area 2713 m2/g, micropore calculated using Dubinina–Radushkevich (D-R) 3099 total volume Barett–Joyner–Halenda (BJH) 1.625 cm3/g. Due these characteristics, adsorption capacity in sample hydrogen 3.7 wt.% at temperature −190 °C pressure 9 kgf/cm2, which is 29.7% higher than based on without The composite “carbon–platinum” NC-2/Pt10%, 20 showed an increase sorption 27% compared pure NC-2, explained emergence spillover effect.
