ABSTRACT
This study investigates the impact of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on microstructure and mechanical properties Al6061 nanocomposites. The MWCNTs were uniformly dispersed in aluminum alloy matrix using ultrasonication following cold pressing sintering a vacuum. effect sintered temperature nanocomposites was evaluated. addition resulted grain refinement, with exhibiting smaller more distributed grains than pure matrix, particularly at lower temperatures 580 600 °C. also demonstrated an increase hardness, peak values observed °C, primarily due to effective dispersion MWCNTs, which restrict dislocation movement reinforce boundaries. While higher led significant growth less uniform hardness distribution, favored finer structures homogeneous profiles. results suggest that optimal for achieving best balance between is However, highlights need optimized techniques achieve distribution MWCNTs.
