ABSTRACT
Most reported members of Microascaceae that have been originate from the terrestrial environment, where they act as saprobes or plant pathogens. However, our understanding their species diversity and distribution in marine environment remains vastly limited, with only 22 nine genera having so far. A survey fungal intertidal areas China’s mainland has revealed discovery several strains 14 algae 15 sediment samples. Based on morphological characteristics LSU-ITS-tef1-tub2 multilocus phylogeny using Bayesian inference maximum likelihood methods, 48 were identified 18 belonging to six genera. Among these, new discovered: Gamsia sedimenticola, Microascus algicola, M. gennadii, Scedosporium ellipsosporium, S. shenzhenensis, sphaerospermum. Additionally, worldwide within this family across various habitats was briefly reviewed discussed. Our study expands knowledge environment.
