ABSTRACT
Phellinotus, a neotropical genus of wood-decay fungi commonly found on living members the Fabaceae family, was initially described as containing two species, P. neoaridus and piptadeniae. The this genus, along with six other well-established genera some unresolved lineages, are current representatives ‘phellinotus clade’. On hand, based two-loci phylogenetic analysis, entities/lineages clade’ have been in Fomitiporella s.l. In work, we performed four-loci analyses our results shown to be monophyletic groups. addition natural groups confirmed different genera, morphological revisions, relationships, host distribution specimens resembling piptadeniae revealed three new species Phellinotus referred here magnoporatus, teixeirae xerophyticus. Furthermore, for narrower concept adopted redefined characters more limited range. Both range restricted seasonally dry tropical forests South America. Additionally, detailed revisions Phellinus badius, resinaceus, scaber transferred genus. geographic then discussed.
