ABSTRACT
This paper presents the results of laser welding dissimilar joints, where low-carbon and stainless steels were welded inthe lap joint configuration. Performed austenitic ferritic-pearlitic included a sealed joint, only partial penetration lower material was obtained. The authors presented acomparative study joints under different configurations. The parameters for assumed estimated via anumericalsimulation. Moreover, stress–strain analysis performed based on theestablished model. Numerical showed significant differences in properties, therefore, further conducted. Investigation fusion mechanism obtained wascarried out using electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) metallurgical analysis. configurations considerable dissimilarities distribution relevant zone structure. advantages steel as upper microstructure, uniform chemical element stress is considered.
