ABSTRACT
Detection of hidden defects aircraft long truss structures (aluminum alloy) is a challenging problem. The shape the structure complex, and crack are buried in large depth. Without restriction skin effect, remote field eddy current (RFEC) has great advantages detecting depth defects. In this paper, order to detect aluminum alloy structure, probe improved from two aspects magnetic enhancement near-field signal suppression using finite element method. results show that indirect coupling energy greatly enhanced when connected circuit added excitation coil. By adding composite shielding outside coil detection coil, respectively, direct effectively restrained. As result, size reduced. optimizing spacing placement position, sensitivity improved. simulation verified by experiments, experimental consistent with conclusions.
