ABSTRACT
Frequency control is one of the most important tasks in electric power systems. At same time, modern systems with inertia-free converter-interfaced generation, this task has become more complex. Such an issue especially relevant for microgrids, which are characterized by a significant increase rate change frequency and its nadir or zenith. An effective way through use energy storage (ESSs) grid-forming microgrids. For purpose, paper proposes novel structure algorithm based on current-control virtual synchronous generator (CC-VSG), damping performed using feedforward controller. In addition, simple proportional–integral controller added to CC-VSG state charge ESS. The analysis proves independence different loop operations within developed CC-VSG. methodology bandwidth separation loops proposed tuning, allows achievement desired quality regulation microgrid, taking into account both recovery permissible variation. Finally, time-domain simulation PSCAD/EMTDC confirm obtained results.
