ABSTRACT
Studies on the relation between selenium intake and cognitive function are inconclusive. This study aimed to examine associations dietary among Chinese adults tested interaction effect of iron cognition. Data from 4852 aged 55 years above who attended 1991-2006 China Health Nutrition Survey (CHNS) were used. Cognitive was assessed through face-to-face interviews in 1997, 2000, 2004, 2006. A 3-day, 24-hour recall used collect intake. Multivariable mixed linear regression logistic analyses. In fully adjusted models, coefficients (95% confidence interval) 0.00, 0.29 (-0.12-0.70), 0.26 (-0.18-0.70), 0.50 (0.02-0.97) across quartiles subgroup analysis, positive association only observed participants live southern region but not those northern region. The selenium-intake-to-iron-intake ratio inversely associated with low global cognition scores. Furthermore, a normal BMI had conclusion, high linked better lower risk decline substantial found or
