ABSTRACT
Existing single-photon computational imaging systems always combine avalanche diode (SPAD)/photomultiplier tube (PMT) and time-correlated counting (TCSPC) together to collect the signals for imaging. However, high equipment complexity cost limit wide applications of systems. To overcome this problem, in paper we propose employ multi-pixel photon counter (MPPC) as signal receiver simplify system. Due linearity output amplitude MPPC, number received photons can be directly quantized; thus, TCSPC is not necessary our proposed Experimental results show that system could obtain 256 × pixels images through 2000 measurements; per pixel reduced about 0.1.
