ABSTRACT
Flash nanoprecipitation (FNP) is a widely used technique to prepare particulate carriers based on various polymers, and it was proven be promising technology for the industrial production of drug loaded nanoparticles. However, up now, only its application hydrophobic compounds has been deeply studied encapsulation some strongly hydrophilic compounds, such as caffeine, remains challenge. Caffeine poly-ε-caprolactone (PCL) nanoparticles were produced in confined impinging jet mixer using acetone solvent water antisolvent. dissolved either or assess effects two different process conditions. Nanoparticles properties assessed terms loading capacity (LC%), efficiency (EE%), vitro release kinetics. Samples further characterized by dynamic light scattering, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photo spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy determine size, morphology, structure FNP proved an effective entrapping caffeine PCL control behavior. The solubilize influences final obtained particles. It observed that active principle preferentially adsorbed at surface when acetone, while with water, embedded matrix structure. present research highlights possibility extending range applications molecules.
