ABSTRACT
(1) Background: Collagen and sodium alginate are commonly used in the field of biomedical materials due to their excellent biocompatibility. This study focuses on preparation, modification, characterization collagen/sodium (C/SA)-based materials. (2) Methods: The characteristics, including surface chemistry, mechanical properties, hygroscopicity, porosity, were analyzed. hemostatic activity vitro was measured using a blood clotting assay dynamic assay. (3) Results: results from microstructure porosity measurement revealed that all sponges exhibited more than 95 percent. sponge cross-linked with 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide/N-hydroxysuccinimide (EDC/NHS) showed better tensile strength lower elongation at break. EDC/NHS oxidized (OSA) highest hygroscopicity comparison uncross-linked sponge. (4) Conclusions: Our demonstrated C/SA-based material we prepared high level enabling efficient absorption tissue exudate blood. Additionally, hemocompatibility, making them suitable for use as dressing
