ABSTRACT
Biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) has been widely used in fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing. In order to improve its comprehensive properties printing, this study, 0-40% content of polybutylene adipate terephthalate(PBAT) was selected be blended with PLA a twin-screw extruder; the resulting pellets were drawn into homogeneous filament; then, PBAT/PLA samples prepared by FDM and effects dosage PBAT on mechanical properties, thermal behavior, surface wettability melt flowability investigated. The results showed that all could printed smoothly, ductility slightly improved increase dosage; stability enhanced blending PBAT, crystallinity increased monotonically PBAT. After surfaces more hydrophilic flowable. important conclusion achieved work blends, especially those containing 30%PBAT, great potential replace petroleum-based plastics are suitable for use printing technologies different applications.
