ABSTRACT
Background: A critical-sized bone defect (CsBD) is considered one that will not heal spontaneously and requires reconstruction. This study aims to compare the results of using different reconstructive techniques potential platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) enhance healing properties a substitute (BS). Methods: In this experimental on rats, treatment defects was carried out by analysing four groups: control group in which left empty; treated with Bio-Gen®; another PRF combination last autologous graft (ABG). The were evaluated microcomputed tomography (µCT) then histomorphometrically. Results: From both histological imagistic point view, best registered ABG group, followed Bio-Gen® PRF, statistically significant differences. Conclusions: 5 mm rat radius can be critical. showed treating defect. significantly enhanced efficacy Bio-Gen®.
