ABSTRACT
There is growing evidence that the standard Weibull strength distribution not always accurate for description of variability in tensile and its dependence on gauge size brittle fibers. In this work, a modified model by incorporating diameter variation bamboo fiber proposed to investigate effect length strength. Fiber strengths are obtained lengths ranging from 20 60 mm diameters 196.6 584.3 μm through tests. It shown as within-fiber increases, fracture decreases. addition, accuracy using weak-link scaling predictions based assessed, which indicates use provides better correlation with experimental data than model. The result highlights characterizing predicting fiber.
