ABSTRACT
The family Gemmataceae accomodates aerobic, chemoorganotrophic planctomycetes with large genome sizes, is mostly distributed in freshwater and terrestrial environments. However, these bacteria have recently also been found locations relevant to human health. Since the antimicrobial resistance genes (AMR) from environmental resistome potential be transferred pathogens, it essential explore resistant capabilities of bacteria. In this study, reconstruction silico was performed for all nine available gemmata genomes. Furthermore, newly isolated yet-undescribed strain G18 sequenced added analyses steps. Selected genomes were screened presence mobile genetic elements. flanking location mobilizable genomic milieu around AMR particular interest since such colocalization may appear promote horizontal gene transfer (HGT) events. Moreover antibiotic susceptibility profile six phylogenetically distinct strains determined.
