Higher Education, Technological Innovation, and Green Development—Analysis Based on China’s Provincial Panel Data

ABSTRACT
Higher Education and technological innovations have so far proved to be key factors of regional green development as they been seen contribute greatly economic growth environmental protection. On the other hand, higher education positively supports innovation by offering knowledge production transformation. The majority studies being conducted around this focused more on promoting backing importance reinforcement talent reserve in education. However, very few dedicated pointing out specific ways which influences development. In study, based provincial panel data for 2003–2020 China, both direct in-between effect was evaluated using mediation model. Then a threshold model created explore differences China. Key results show that significantly promotes development, plays an role above-mentioned influence relationships; there is significant diversity among regions with different developing levels innovation, positive impact educationally developed provinces gradually decreases, while keeps rising. Specific policy recommendations promote mainly include further balancing investment education, coordinating strengthening flow resources provinces.
