Flood Risk Assessment Based on a Cloud Model in Sichuan Province, China

Floods are serious threats to the safety of people’s lives and property. This paper systematically introduces basic theories methods flood risk assessment, takes Sichuan Province as study area, establishes a assessment index system with 14 indicators in four aspects—disaster-causing factors, disaster-forming environment, disaster-bearing body, regional disaster resilience capacity—from causes losses formation mechanisms. Furthermore, this constructs model for based on cloud model, entropy value, GIS technology. The is validated by taking July–August 2023 an example, results show that distribution was consistent paper, which verifies selected appropriate accurate valid.
