ABSTRACT
The paper evaluates the behavior of a red-mud solid fraction in thickener feeder cup, aiming to identify main characteristics particle distribution flocculation zone and determine dependencies affecting further process taking place particle-free sedimentation thickener-thickening unit. This work used mathematical numerical modeling study influence such parameters as flow rate feed pulp thickener, flocculant, density at inlet unit, viscosity temperature on particle-size from under cup. results obtained are intended be nominal values thickening performed lab-scale
