ABSTRACT
The composition of mother's milk is considered the ideal diet for neonates. This study investigated how conserved or variable amino acid profile sow colostrum and throughout lactation, compared with other studies in sows species. Twenty-five (parity one to seven) from farm gestation lengths 114 116 d were sampled on 0, 3, 10 after parturition. total samples was analyzed through ion-exchange chromatography, results displayed as percentage literature data. Most concentrations decreased significantly (p < 0.05) lactation period, while generally showed a pattern, especially 3 10, rather similar across different studies. Glutamine + glutamate most abundant at all sampling moments, accounting 14-17% acids. proportions proline, valine, glycine nearly accounted 11%, 7%, 6% respectively, higher human, cow, goat milk, methionine proportion less than three. Compared large variations often reported macronutrient concentrations, present study, well others, seems period. Similarities characteristic differences also observed between piglet body composition, which might reflect nutrition requirements preweaning piglets. warrants further research exploring link whole particular acids suckling piglets could facilitate insight optimizing creep feed.
