ABSTRACT
The large data set assembled during recent years by preventive archaeology allows us to put forward this synthesis on cultural practices and farming, the Roman period, in territory under influence of Béziers Lodève. We concentrate first advances made recently local archaeology, rural establishments excavated, their winemaking equipments links with pottery workshops (amphorae dolia). This is followed details surviving remains vineyards orchards (plantation pits), combined information provided archaeobotanical which help recognize diversity natural habitats multiple facets agrarian economy. concludes emphasizing importance flourishing wine production between end 1st century B. C. beginning 3rd A. D. highlights situations exploitation mixed crops (annuals + fruit trees/ shrubs).
