ABSTRACT
Background: Chlamydia pneumonia has currently been proposed to be involved in multiple sclerosis (MS) pathogenesis. The aim of this study was evaluate the serum level anti-C. pneumoniae immunoglobulin G (IgG) patients with MS compared control group, which may helpful further understanding etiology. Methods: obtained from 66 people and 20 healthy as patient groups, respectively. Serums were matched patient's age, gender, place residence. Finally, IgG measured by a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: Sixty-six (25 men 41 women within age range 17-56 years mean±SD 35.53±9.56) subjects (8 12 25-56 38.3±9.66) enrolled study. mean (28.82±33.54 RU/mL) that group (4.075±6.691 statistically significant difference observed regard (P<0.001). Conclusions: In general, there relationship between incidence C. infection. However, actual involvement is still matter debate needs clarified studies (e.g., creating animal models conducting trial tests).
