ABSTRACT
The paper shortly presents concept of landslide risk management with basic definitions of activities belonging to protection and recovery. The intention of the paper is to systematize measures of the Croatian government according to risk management framework. Two groups of measures undertaken by the Croatian Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning are described: (i) national landslide risk assessment ; and (2) programmes for landslide disaster recovery. It is concluded that the measures introduced by the Croatian government are in line to the agenda Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction concerning emerging risk of Multiple Occurrence Regional Landslide Events (MORLE) that is related to climate changes.
