ABSTRACT
"The present investigation includes the extraction of lignin from waste sawdust wood industry (Tetraclinis articulata) using sulfuric acid treatment, its characterization and further use for removal methylene blue (MB) cationic dye aqueous media. The extracted was characterized by FT-IR XRD, thermal properties were studied TGA DSC analyses, surface morphology observed SEM EDX. spectra showed homogeneity in chemical structure sample. In adsorption study, effects temperature, contact time, concentration MB determined. kinetic study that second-order model gives a better description kinetics reaction than first-order model. analysis isotherms different classical models may be governed Langmuir isotherm. thermodynamic parameters determined values maximum capacity equilibrium constants."
