ABSTRACT
<p> Dual-band shared-aperture Fabry-Pérot cavity (DS-FPC) antennas with single-layer partially reflective surface (PRS) are inherently limited in the achievable frequency ratio. This paper analyzes such to derive feasible range of ratio and thereafter proposes a dual-band antenna that can fill gap. The proposed integrates short backfire (SBA) for low band (LB) (FPC) high (HB), utilizing shared PRS parasitic element. In LB, using element is transparent HB, SBA works well despite its profile.
