ABSTRACT
Depression has long been studied in the NLP field, with most works focusing on individuals' negative emotions. People depression experience happiness, but this not extensively studied. Previous have shown that sentiment or emotion classification approaches are unsuitable for extracting happy moments because they may be expressed only positive words. In work, we conduct a largescale study of from social media texts individuals mentioning diagnosis. We develop an extensive deep learning-based framework to extract text, and annotate them semantic topics, gender labels, agency sociality measures. analyze over 400,000 show significant differences agency, users control groups, varying by gender. found male female group more their than users. Furthermore, users' was impaired depression, while fewer group. Our research can inform psychology interventions, which foster feelings longer-lasting happiness represent promising path collaboration between computational linguistics psychology.
