ABSTRACT
Relevance. To achieve the goals of measles and rubella elimination poliomyelitis eradication programs, immunization coverage at least 95% target population is required. Objective data on state specific herd immunity are provided only by results serosurveys. In Republic Tajikistan, such monitoring not carried out regularly. Therefore, purpose study was to assess actual measles, rubella, viruses.
Materials methods. The blood sera 563 children adults collected in 7 cities 13 districts Tajikistan 2020 were investigated. level antibodies (ABs) viruses determined using enzyme immunoassay. Test systems VectoKor-IgG (VECTOR-BEST, Russia) Ecolab, Russia used determine ABs virus, respectively. Neutralizing (nABs) 3 types poliovirus (PV) 359 a neutralization reaction with Sabin strains 1, 2, 3.
Results. conducted serosurvey showed be 87.9% total population, including 86.2% children, 93.1% adolescents, 93.5% adults, that sufficient prevent transmission virus. proportion individuals seropositive 54.5%, which enough sustained secondary infection resumption circulation endemic strain under 15 years age should considered risk infection, since accounted for 38% among seronegative individuals.
general, less than examined patients had nABs PV: 94.4% PV1, 86.1% PV2, 83.6% PV3; 3.3% did have all three PV. varied groups depending vaccination schedule composition vaccines used: PV2 59.6% born during period when containing used, 85.7% after introduction trivalent IPV. Deficiency cause polio outbreak 2021 caused circulating vaccine-derived PV type 2.
Conclusion. A high humoral virus determined. Shortcomings routine against associated insufficient lack IPV been identified. Conducting regular serological advisable obtain objective information about immunity, identify vulnerable plan additional activities.
