The impact of agricultural policy in Brazil and Germany: a comparative approach between the Western Mesoregion of Paraná and Nordrhein-Westfalen State

ABSTRACT
In Brazil, agriculture has fulfilled its basic functions, being strongly linked to economic dynamics and food security. It thus contributed growth. the European Union (EU) played a prominent role which, after The Second World War, unfolded in formulation of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) which been mainly based on providing study is included this context. aims measure incentives agricultural policy for cereal production Western Mesoregion Paraná State Nordrhein-Westfalen from 2005 2017. This was accomplished through an index, measured proportional participation subsidies Gross Value Added (GVA) each region. results showed that Germany were average 29% GVA. While West value around 8%. result allows us conclude German regions about three times higher than those Brazilian regions, demonstrating high producer’s income.
