ABSTRACT
Central aseptic keratolysis is presented as a rare but serious complication, requiring urgent diagnosis and treatment. This 56-year-old woman with bilateral eye pain, photophobia tearing, who was eventually diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis associated secondary Gougerot-Sjögren's syndrome. Peripheral ulcerative keratitis (PUK) discussed in association immune-mediated systemic diseases such arthritis, highlighting its rarity severity, particularly when it causes corneal ulcers. Emphasis placed on regular ophthalmological assessments for early detection of ocular complications, collaboration between rheumatologists ophthalmologists highlighted optimal management. we stress the importance timely consultation medical specialties to address severity sterile ulcers ensure appropriate management prevention visual impairment.
