Pre-freezing cooling and sheep seminal viability

It was evaluated in ovine semen pool, different cooling times (C) pre-freezing on the motility (M) and sperm vigor (V) after thawing TRT (Thermo Resistance Test). Four Santa Ines sheep were submitted to collections nine replicates. After analysis confirmation of desirable characteristics each ejaculate, a pool ejaculates four animals, diluted modified Tris-yolk, aliquoted into vales cooled for zero, one, two, three, five hours pre-freezing, frozen thawed. M V spermatozoa evaluated, before C, thawing, when also performed. The data compared by Tukey's test. There decrease seminal one C freezing, time did not change these parameters. thawed showed higher hour freezing. However, no difference observed parameters subjected three or two semen, TRT, presented similar V, regardless concluded that provides better post-thawing, while generates pattern acceptable TRT.
