Identification of sugar transporter gene family <italic>SiSTPs</italic> in foxtail millet and its participation in stress response

ABSTRACT
<p id="C3">Sugar transporter proteins (STPs), a class of monosaccharide transporters that mainly transport hexose, play an important role in the growth, development, and stress resistance crops. Foxtail millet is main cultivated crop green dryland agriculture, also model plant for C<sub>4</sub> photosynthesis mechanism gene mining Gramineae However, no systematical study <italic>SiSTPs</italic> has been performed foxtail millet. In this study, we identified whole genome six crops including by bioinformatics method, focused on physicochemical properties, chromosomal localization, systematic evolution, structure, conserved domain. Moreover, relative expression level <italic>SiSTPs </italic>gene its to infection <italic>Sclerospora graminicola</italic> under drought low phosphate were investigated. The results showed total 24, 26, 23, 22, 33, 27 STP family members individually <italic>Setaria italica</italic>, viridis</italic>,<italic> Sorghum bicolor</italic>,<italic> Zea mays</italic>,<italic> Triticum aestivum</italic>, <italic>Oryza sativa</italic>, which divided into four clades phylogenetic analysis. 24 SiSTP genes distributed unevenly 7 chromosomes, size encoded amino acids ranged from 499 aa 581 aa. all had Sugar_tr (PF00083) <italic>cis</italic>-acting elements included large number light-responsive stress-responsive elements. These was subjected strong purification selection pressure during evolutionary process millet, obvious tissue specificity photoinduced phenomena.
