ABSTRACT
AIM:To study secretion patterns of pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines, and activation various cellular subsets leukocytes in peripheral blood. METHODS:We have conducted a prospective observational study. One hundred eight patients with diagnosis acute pancreatitis onset the disease within last 72 h were included this study. The mRNA expression 25 different types cytokines white blood cells was determined by quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction.Levels 8 serum measured enzyme linked immunosorbent assay.Clinical data cytokine results subjected to statistical analysis. RESULTS:Severe necrotizing (AP) is characterized significant depletion circulating lymphocytes.Severe associated typical systemic inflammatory response syndrome over-expression pro-inflammatory [interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF)].Serum IL-6 MIF concentrations are best discriminators severe AP as well possible fatal outcome during early course disease.CONCLUSION: Deregulation immune system key event leading AP.IL-6 could be used predictors complications.
