ABSTRACT
Current research emphasizes the contribution of gut microbiome to numerous health conditions includingcancer and skeletomuscular disorders. Cachexia is a debilitating condition progressive loss bodytissues. It occurs in up 80% patients with tumors, it impairs their functioning quality life andincreases morbidity premature death. Several randomized trials indicate that interventions, which targetgut can correct revert tissue aged people. However, less known about effectof such strategies cachectic muscle loss. This report briefly sheds light on role gut-muscle axisin cachexia demonstrates few examples interventions addressing effect oncachectic muscle. also speculates literature for skeletal muscle-promoting activity bee products, particularly honey propolis (which are quite handy), within context cachexia. Implications forfuture studies discussed.
