ABSTRACT
Background In China, the prevalence of chronic kidney disease has increased significantly. Many studies shows that spectrum had changed in recent years. We retrospectively analyzed pathological types renal biopsy and its change at General Hospital Chinese People’s Liberation Army from December 1987 to 2012, order offer new supporting evidences for further specifying distribution China. Methods According “Revised Protocol Histological Typing Glomerulopathy” (WHO, 1995), diagnosis was classified, detection rate each type summarized (i.e., percentage total cases), study period divided an interval 5 years, age-stratified main analyzed. Results The proportion 11 618 cases as follows: primary glomerulonephritis (PGN, 70.7%), secondary (SGN, 20.7%), tubular-interstitial nephropathy (4.0%), hereditary/rare (0.3%), end-stage (0.9%), unclassified (3.3%). Among PGN, there IgA (IgAN, 37.0%), membranous (MN, 11.8%), mesangial proliferative (MsPGN, 8.9%), minimal (MCD, 6.6%), focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (3.9%). SGN lupus nephritis (LN, 5.5%), Henoch-Schönlein purpura (5.3%), hepatitis B virus-associated (HBVAN, 3.03%), diabetic (2.2%), hypertension/malignant hypertension-associated damage (1.9%). Pathological data were 1987-1992 2008-2012 (after age adjustment). Detection IgAN tended rise ( P <0.001). rates MN MCD rose significantly <0.001), but MsPGN dropped SGN, HBVAN drop Conclusion PGN most common glomerulopathy (mostly IgAN), LN
