Imaging findings of a typical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor of central nervous system with clinical correlation

ABSTRACT
Objective
To evaluate the imaging characteristics of atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT) central nervous system(CNS), and to improve diagnostic ability disease.
Methods
The clinical findings 9 patients were retrospectively analyzed. There 5 male 4 female, ages 7 months years, median age was 1.4 years. MR enhancement studies obtained in all cases. One case had CT examination.
Results
The lesions seen brain 8 cases lumbosacral spinal cord one case. The tumors size varied from 4.8—7.8 cm, Necrosis nine cases, cystic change eight hemorrhage five high signal on DWI, low ADC map. Dura matter invasion (2 cases) , cerebrospinal fluid spread intracerebral metastasis seen.
Conclusion
There are some relatively specific primary CNS AT/RT that could assist their diagnosis.
