Hemorrhage after eat a lot of jujube under the background of long-term use of warfarin

ABSTRACT
A 65-year-old female patient took warfarin regularly at a dose of 3.75 mg once daily for atrial fibrillation and cerebral infarction the INR value was maintained between 1.95-2.12. She ate dried red jujube (50-100 g/d) as nutritional supplements. Three weeks later, she found hematoma on her left forearm, about size duck′s egg, gross hematuria. The increased to 3.22. Warfarin discontinued. next day, hematuria disappeared alleviated. continued eat jujube. Two days absorbed with only an ecchymosis left. On day 4 after withdrawal, 1.72. advised stop eating continue anticoagulation daily. Six 1.78 completely. Key words: Warfarin; ZIZIPHUS JUJUBAE; Hemorrhage
