Investigation on the incidence of chronic diseases among the seafarers of Yantai port and analysis of related factors

ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the health status of seafarers in Yantai port, and to analyze influential factors chronic diseases, so as provide reliable evidence for development related prevention treatment measures. Methods Medical check-up data 10 200 from our hospital were random selected study, collected classified analyzed. Results The morbidity rate diseases among port was 34.62%. Statistical analyses indicated that hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, fatty liver, diabetes, cholecystitis, depression other main disorders affected seafarers. Conclusions Greater efforts should be made strengthen education mental consultation, enhance 3-level care, have regular examinations, with aim achieve early detection, diagnosis treatment, could better assured.
