Multi-station evaluation of comprehensive ability of Shanghai community general practitioner trainers

ABSTRACT
Objective
To assess the comprehensive ability of community general practitioner (GP) trainers in Shanghai by multi-station evaluation.
Methods
Forty one GP from 4 teaching base were assessed a half-day evaluation including knowledge, physical examination, auxiliary investigation, clinical skills and knowledge.
Results
The mean score pass rate knowledge highest (80.4±6.8 97.6%), those lowest (44.5±15.1 14.6%). The whose duration was more than or equal to 5 years higher less (72.1±12.3 vs. 54.9±21.5, t=2.974, P=0.007). There no significant difference items between with different working seniority professional titles.The basic medical theories (F=4.550, P=0.008), X-ray (F=5.438, P=0.003), (F=3.503, P=0.025), (F=12.607, P<0.001), methods (F=11.558, regulations demands training (F=7.281, P=0.001) statistical among bases.
Conclusions
The is relatively weak need relevant special training.Multi-station can be applied selection assessment trainers.
