Analgesic efficacy of perioperative celecoxib in arthroscopic knee surgery

ABSTRACT
Objective To assess the effects of perioperative celecoxib administration in pain management patients undergoing arthroseopic knee surgery.Methods From June 2007 to 2008,93 cases who received arthroscopic operation were divided into three groups at random.Group A(administrated 2 h post-operative,oral 200 mg);Group B(administrated 1 pre-operative and mg every time);Group C was control group(placebo oral preoperative post-operative like group B).Aftre surgery,pain intensity 2,4,8,12,24 48 measured with visual analogue scale(VAS),and time their first request for medication,the total opoid consumption function exercise recorded.Results The VAS A B 2,12,24,48 had no difference(P>0.05),the Was lower than 4 h,8 h(P<0.01),group higher each time-point.It taked longest from use opioid,Also,the opioid least.Group needed flexion arrive 90 degree (P<0.05).Conclusions Celecoxib has obvious preemptive analgesia effect artoroscopic operation.It can greatly reduce benefit patients.
