Meta analysis of the risk factors of recurrent wheezing in infants

ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze the relevant risk factors of recurrent wheezing(≥3 attacks) in first 3 years life. Methods Wheezing, respiratory sounds, factorwere used as key words to retrieve papers Chinese literature databases including Sinomed, Wanfang and Weipu databases.The same strategy was English PubMed, Cochrane library EMbase.Time range from 31th May 2004 1rd June 2014.The execution quality evaluation included documents compliance with Newcastle-Ottawa Scale cross-sectional study standard recommended by Agency for Healthcare Research Quality.The evidence conducted GRADEpro followed Meta analysis RevMan 5.2. Results A total 13 studies were this Meta-analysis.Several related wheezing episodes, such maternal smoking during pregnancy (OR=1.47, 95%CI: 1.30-1.66), asthma parents(OR=1.94, 1.72-2.19), family history atopy(OR=1.94, male(OR=1.42, 1.19-1.69), eczema(OR=2.36, 1.69-3.30), colds(>6 times)(OR=2.02, 1.54-2.64), bronchopneumonia(OR=1.85, 1.46-2.34), exposure cigarette smoking(OR=2.30, 1.68-3.14), daycare attendance(OR=2.27, 1.97-2.60); Education received mother >12 (OR=0.80, 0.70-0.92) protective factor. Conclusions The life are pregnancy, parents, atopy, male, eczema, times), bronchopneumonia, attendance.The factor is education mother≥12 years.The prerequisite precaution infants ensure utmost avoidance hazardous reinforcement factors.
