ABSTRACT
Climate smart agriculture (CSA) has gained considerable attention in Vietnam due to its potential increase food security and farming system resilience while decreasing greenhouse gas emissions. In recent years, several CSA practices have been introduced rice production, the most important sub-sector of Vietnam’s agriculture. However, few studies done produce comprehensive assessments performance sector. This research proposes a approach assess through new set evaluation indicators. A case study An Giang province Vietnamese Mekong River Delta was implemented evaluate five models versus that triple crop (i.e., benchmarking model). Results show rice-shrimp rice-lotus rotations are profitable, low-risk, applicable at larger scale. Given current analyzed calculated only small number indicators types practices, further is necessary test all diversified models.
