Factors affecting the production of apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) in Ladakh UT of India

ABSTRACT
The goal of the current study was to identify factors influencing apricot production in India’s Ladakh region. Data collected from 200 respondents region using a pre-tested interview schedule. data analyzed multiple regression modeling, along with frequency and percentage calculations, derive results. A significant portion growers (27.5%) were obtaining 50–60 kg yield per tree, while majority (60.5%) farmed apricots on just one kanal land. Additionally, 56% applied farmyard manure (FYM), 45.5% used chemical fertilizers. Furthermore, reports aphids scale crop accounted for over 77% 94.5% cases, respectively. In addition, reported brown rot scab 88% terms dormant practices, 89% hoeing, 68.5% Horticultural mineral oils (HMO) 74.5% Bordeaux mixture. results analysis showed that found be inversely but significantly related production, application fertilizers, FYM, HMO, mixture positively production. suggests paying extra attention enhancing stone fruit by establishing more connections research agricultural extension centers organizations. By implementing intercropping, appropriate land division, allocation cash crops such as vegetables, fruits, grains, farms can provide access microcredit at microlevel.
