ABSTRACT
Objective: Aim of this study is to assess the role Cancer Antigen (CA-125) in detection ovarian malignancy premenopausal women with mass. Methods: This observational was carried out (blinded). It included 200 who had preliminary diagnosis adnexal mass whatever its nature. Adnexal masses were detected either clinically or by ultrasound. Results: The shows distribution different pathologies malignancy, stage at and benign spectrum investigated population. also reveals CA-125 cutoff point 35.1 sensitivity specificity reached 93.1% 92.2% respectively. Area under Curve (AUC) 0.998, Positive Prediction Value (PPV) 91.7% Negative (NPV) 92.1. Conclusion: According our results could be suitable as an cancer marker.
