ABSTRACT
Osteoarthritis (OA) as a multi-factorial disease that features interrelated mechanisms (senescence/ apoptosis, proliferation, decreased synthesis of matrix proteins, activation degrading enzymes, inflammation) and diversity cells involved in bone cartilage metabolism: chondrocytes, osteoblasts, osteoclasts etc. A complete pharmaceutical solution remains an unsolved question this interdisciplinary field research.We focused our approach on osteoarthritic primary chondrocytes HC-OA (Cell Application), exploring cell line the small sea fish extract's potential to improve proliferation rate stop cytokines pro-inflammatory signaling.Previous research results have shown important therapeutic extract, restoring intrinsic functionality through its correlative effects: antioxidant anti-inflammatory action, stimulatory activity matriceal proteins homeostasis.In context degradative stimulation with IL1β, extract prove counteracting "in vitro" effect, proliferative capacity inhibiting IL8 release, implication several degradation pathways: MMP13 activation, neutrophils' accumulation, synovium leucocytes well hypertrophic differentiation processes chondrocytes.
