ABSTRACT
As medicine is currently practiced, doctors send specimens to a central laboratory for testing and thus must wait hours or days receive the results. Many patients would be better served by rapid, bedside tests. To this end our others have developed versatile, reagentless biosensor platform that supports quantitative, reagentless, electrochemical detection of nucleic acids (DNA, RNA), proteins (including antibodies) small molecules analytes directly in unprocessed clinical environmental samples. In video, we demonstrate preparation use several biosensors "E-DNA" class. particular, fabricate sensors target DNA sequence polymerase chain reaction mixture, an HIV-specific antibody drug cocaine. The procedure requires only three hands-on effort followed overnight incubation, their minutes.
