ABSTRACT
Aim: The phase angle obtained from the maximum reactance (PA max) is a better potential indicator than angles multiple frequencies. Our aim in this study to investigate correlation of PA max with fasting glucose and hemoglobin A1c Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2 DM).
Material Methods: was conducted prospectively, two groups were formed as T2 DM (n=75) healthy controls (n=32) their demographic variables examined. Right hand, left right leg, hand leg segment measurements taken electrical impedance method at reactance. Correlations glucose, other examined.
Results: Fasting glycated A1c, age, body mass index, fat percentage found be significantly higher group compared group. However, RH max, RL LL H_L L_L values lower In group, negative correlated all segments, while negatively segments except LH Pamax.
Conclusion: reduced by impaired glycemic index marker reflecting metabolic status.
