ABSTRACT
Fodder cowpea (Vigna ungiculata (L.) Walp.) is regarded as one of the most important leguminous fodders due to its high biomass yield, protein content and rapid growing nature. A study analyze different genetic parameters, trait association diversity was carried out with 79 fodder genotypes. The mean performances genotypes showed wide variation for all traits studied. Plant height, number primary branches, leaves per plant, leaf length, breadth, area index dry matter yield were found have a substantial positive relationship green yield. Path coefficient analysis revealed that needs be given weightage improving in cowpea. grouped into 10 clusters which three solitary confirmed presence among germplasm lines. maximum intra cluster distance exhibited by ІІІ followed ІX, ІІ, І, ІV, V VІІ, whereas II IX recorded greatest inter-cluster distance. Based on performance production, GETC 54, 46, TNFC 0926, 53 observed better prospects exploitation future breeding programs. Keywords: cowpea, association, path analysis,
