ABSTRACT
Introduction. Leukonostoc pseudomesenteroides, widespread in nature (soil, plants, milk, etc.), until recently was classified as a commensal microorganism, but from 1985 now several sporadic cases of infection with this pathogen have been described humans. Bacteremia Leuconostoc spp. are increasingly reported. Unique other sites also described: soft, lung, urinary, Central Nervous System tissues, etc. Most often, these reported patients cancer, and often considered opportunistic for acquired immunodeficiencies. However, immunocompetent patients, including those previously treated vancomycin, having natural resistance to antibiotic. 
 Material methods. An analysis the literature clinical case presented here: child an 11-month-old congenital malformation - rabbit lip, who underwent maxillofacial operation twice had pneumonia 2 months before his admission Toma Ciorba Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital. Results. Meningococcemia meningitis were clinically established upon admission. The blood culture result received few days later, pseudomesenteroides identified. etiological treatment corrected, after which sterile obtained. released satisfactory condition. Conclusions: is first Leuconstoc Republic Moldova. correct choice allows eradication pathogen, result.
