ABSTRACT
MicroRNAs (miRs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs 18-25 nucleotides in length that serve as key regulators the development and progression human cancers. Recently, miR‑30b‑5p, member miR‑30 family, has been reported to act tumor suppressor gastric cancer. However, expression function miR‑30a‑5p cancer, well corresponding underlying mechanism, remain unknown. In present study, it was demonstrated significantly reduced cancer tissues (n=43) compared with normal (n=10; P<0.01). Similarly, downregulated cell lines AGS, HGC27, BGC823 SGC7901, when mucosa epithelial line GES‑1 (P<0.01). addition, overexpression inhibited proliferation invasion AGS cells Insulin‑like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF‑1R) identified novel target miR‑30a‑5p, protein IGF‑1R negatively regulated by Furthermore, reversed inhibitory effect on (P<0.01), indicating involved miR‑30a‑5p‑mediated cells. It also observed mRNA upregulated its levels were reversely correlated (R2=0.3892; Collectively, these data suggest inhibits metastasis directly targeting IGF‑1R. Therefore, miR‑30a‑5p/IGF‑1R axis may be potential therapeutic treatment
