ABSTRACT
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) can induce apoptosis by releasing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitrogen species, which cause mitochondrial damage. The present study aimed to investigate the protective effects of flavonoids from leaves Carya cathayensis Sarg. against H2O2‑induced oxidative damage in vitro. bioactivity total (TFs) five monomeric [cardamonin (Car), pinostrobin chalcone, wogonin, chrysin pinocembrin] <em>Carya cathayensis</em> (LCCS) were tested prevent rat aortic endothelial cells (RAECs) induced H2O2. Oxidated superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, malondialdehyde, lactate dehydrogenase ROS analyzed evaluate antioxidant activity. Gene protein expression patterns assessed using reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR western blotting, respectively. results indicated that TFs Car inhibited cytotoxicity RAECs. Additionally, they regulated level oxidase production ROS. Overall, extracted LCCS could potentially be developed as effective candidate drugs stress future; moreover, also provide a direction investigations for preventing activity through pathway.
